We organize training sessions on a regular basis. Do not hesitate to contact us to attend to the next. It is also possible to organize special sessions for a specific audience.

Sample training supports are available for download. Z-set installation is required to run the examples.

Material parameter identification

2 day session

This training session shows the capabilities of the Z-simopt GUI application to carry out a material model identification project. Inconel 738, a Nickel-based alloy frequently used in the aerospace and nuclear industry, is proposed as an illustrative example.

Development in Z-set

5 day session

This training session serves as a basic framework, including computer programming, for everyone who is involved in a development process using the Z-set platform.
The session presents instruments to extend the standard capabilities of Z-set. It demonstrates the interface development for new material models and FEA methods.

Onera lifetime prediction model

2 day session

The training session covers the main features of the classical phenomenological Chaboche stress-based model, commonly used to analyze the durability of the high temperature components. The model combines pure creep and pure fatigue equations and non-linear interaction of these damage mechanisms to compute the resulting lifetime. It is valid in both LCF and HCF regimes (i.e., the entire S-N curve) and takes into account the effect of non-zero mean stress.

Advanced material modeling with Z-mat

2 day session

The following training session provides an overview of the main capabilities of the Z-mat software to simulate material behavior. Starting from very simple constitutive equations, it goes through the collection of different elementary material model « building bricks » available in the library and shows how to build sophisticated material models.
